History
The club was started in 1988 by Mary Wolverton. She called it the Western Reserve Morgan Youth and it was to be part of the Ohio Morgan Horse Association.

The original group consisted of four young girls. Over the years, the club has grown to about 15 members who all share the love of the Morgan horse.

Activities
The Western Reserve Morgan Youth group is mainly located in Grafton, Ohio. There are currently 15 members. The group meets twice a month. We go on field trips, do community service, fundraisers, educational activities, and promote the morgan breed.

This year, we have attended Arcaro's Saddlery, collected canned food for Harvest for Hunger, helped out with handicamp, and participated in the Equine Affair located in Columbus, OH. For Equine Affair, the members baked over 1700 horse treats to be passed out at the morgan booth. Some of the members even participated in the Morgan demonstration.

Projects of the Year
Every year the WRMY works on a yearbook to bring to the Grand Nationals located in Oklahoma. This year we are doing a patriotic theme in honor of September 11th. The yearbook consists of two volumes. Volume One contains autobiographies of the members. In Volume Two, we write about the years activities and achievements.

In addition to the yearbook, members also create a Power Point Presention. This years topic is the history of the Morgan and the development of the breed. We will post the slide show on this site once it is complete.

We also present a trifold board at nationals. We will be doing a presentation on First Aid. Members attach actual items that should be included in a first aid kit on the board.
